He gives power to the weak

Judges 13–16, Isaiah 40:28-31 “Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, The Creator of the ends of the earth, Neither faints nor is weary. His understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the weak, And to those who have no might He increases strength.”  –  Isaiah 40:28-29 (NKJV) There are moments in life when we feel exhausted, discouraged, and without the strength to move forward. The trials of life, disappointments, and failures can cause us to lose hope. But God has promised to give new strength to the weak. No matter how broken, lost, or defeated we feel, God’s power to restore and renew is unmatched. The story of Samson in the book of Judges is a powerful testimony of God’s ability to restore and give new purpose, even when everything seems lost. This message is a call to awakening—a call to rise in God’s strength, to reclaim the mission and vision that God has placed in our hearts. Samson’s story shows both failure and restoration...

Leaving the Past Behind and Embracing Your Future in Christ"

Philippians 3:13-14 (NKJV) "Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus." Many of us today may be carrying heavy burdens from your past—times of deception, betrayal, and rejection that weigh down your heart. These experiences are painful, and it can feel like they are holding you back from moving forward into the life God has planned for you. But in Philippians 3, we see Paul teaching us something powerful: that we can forget what lies behind and reach forward to the future God has for us. Today, we will explore how to leave behind the pain of the past and embrace the future that Christ has prepared for us. I. The Weight of the Past Many of us are weighed down by the memories of past hurts. Maybe you’ve been deceived by people you trusted—lied to or taken advantage of. Perhap...

The impact of foreign and online ministries on local churches

Introduction In today's global Christian world, foreign and online ministries are growing and impacting local churches. Drawing from my own experiences with these external ministries, I aim to explore how they influence local churches, the theological implications, and the specific challenges faced by diaspora churches, especially African diaspora, trying to replicate their homeland models in foreign settings. I will discuss the pros and cons from a theological perspective to understand their impact on local church life. Considerations of Foreign Ministries Pros of Foreign Ministries Foreign ministries bring global perspectives and new approaches that can enrich local church practices. Theologically, the concept of the universal body of Christ supports the idea that the Church is not limited to any single culture or place. Philippians 2:4 encourages believers to look beyond their own interests and consider others', suggesting a collaborative relationship between local and forei...

Topic: Jesus can and will do it again!

Scripture: John 21:3-14 ”Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We are going with you also.” They went out and immediately got into the boat, and that night they caught nothing. But when the morning had now come, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Then Jesus said to them, “Children, have you any food?” They answered Him, “No.” And He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast, and now they were not able to draw it in because of the multitude of fish. Therefore that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” Now when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment (for he had removed it), and plunged into the sea. But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from land, but about two hundred cubits), dragging the net with fish. Then, as soon as they had come to land, they saw a fire of coals there, and fis...
