You are a planting of the Lord

2Sa 13:17-19
17 He called his personal servant and said, “Get this woman out of my sight and bolt the door after her.”
18 So his servant put her out and bolted the door after her. She was wearing an ornate robe, for this was the kind of garment the virgin daughters of the king wore.
19 Tamar put ashes on her head and tore the ornate robe she was wearing. She put her hands on her head and went away, weeping aloud as she went. Then he called his servant that ministered unto him, and said, Put now this woman out from me, and bolt the door after her.

The story is about two of King David's children (Amnon and Tamar) When Amnon had finished to rape his sister Tamar, he hated her more than how he loved her (In fact he didn't love her, he had lust concerning her. Love is patient and kind.)
The most important thing to learn in this story is how a simple act can destroy a life of somebody. Tamar followed all things the jewish culture asked her to do. She kept herself virgin for the one with who she will get married.

What happens when everything that had value to you is destroyed in few second? How to react when all your dreams and priorities collapsed? For certain people, this kind of event can lead to rejection, depression and a feeling of uselessness as if the whole world collapsed on you. Depression is one of the causes that leads to addiction, and addiction leads to negative consequences.

Tamar was devasted by the event and she felt that the whole life became meaningsless because of what she experimeneted on that day. She put ashes on her head. Ashes is the sign that everything is already consumed or destroyed and can never be restored, there is nothing left to get out of it. She wept and felt that everyone was moquing at her as is "she get what she deserved".
There are some situations in our lives where we feel abondanned, useless, moqued at and we feel that there is nothing left to get out of our life. We feel as if our life is like ashes, everything is consumed, destroyed and is unreplacable or unrestorable.

If you feel like Tamar in this moment, and you are about to put ashes on your head and you feel like there nothing left to live for; I have good news to you beloved one: There is still hope.
The Bible says in the book of Isaiah 61:2-3 that He (Jesus) was anointed "--- to comfort all that mourn; to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified."

No matter what you may go through for the moment, Jesus has a better plan for you, He wants to give you joy and hope. he want to bestow to you and yours a better and splendid future. One thing you need to do is forgetting the former things and the things of old, He is about to do a new thing that your eyes have never seen, your ears have never heard. Because Christ in you is the Hope of glory.
You are a planting of the Lord (Isa 61:3) and no one can stop what God has for you. What God plants, even the wind can never remove it. The wind can blow, the storm may come in your life but you will stand firm for you are a planting of the Lord.

You are a planting of the Lord. you can be troubled on every side, but you will not be distressed; you can be persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed. So, Wipe away your tears and be strong. The Lord will fight for you. Just be still and know that He is God!!!!!

Be blessed beloved planting of the Lord!!!!
