The hope and the inheritance of our salvation

Eph 1:18 " The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,"

This morning I waked up thinking about heaven. Heaven will be great: there will be no more sorrow, no more pain, no more sickness, etc.... BUt as long as we live on this earth, we will have to face many tribulations and problems. But what will make us strong is not only to know that God is with us, but we need also to fix our eyes in the things ahead,i.e. heaven ( the New jerusalem where the righteous will dwell). Fot this last reason, we need to be aware of the promises of God an,d as Paul writes in Ephesians 1:18, there is a hope attached to God's calling and an inheritance He reserved for the saints.

But there are some important points we need to follow so that we can inherit the riches of his glory:

1. Accepting Christ in our life

Jesus is the way to heaven and the key to get our inheritance in the Lord. The grace of God came to us becaus of what jesus did on the cross, that is why we are what we are by His grace.

2. Holiness

God is with us and He watches over us not only in the time of need, but also when we sind (in that time we forget God and do what pleases us). That's why we also need to Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord (Hebrew 12:14). Many people are looking after material and worldly blessings, but those are things we will leave here on the earth. But we have to seek first of all the kingdom of God and His righteousness, the rest will be added unto us (Matt 6:33)

3. The good works and love

We shall never stop to do good works because our reward will not come from people but from God. That's why the book of revelation 14:13 says:"... Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them" Good works have to follow our faith, and faith without love is like a tinkling cumbal.

4. To serve God

To be a servant of God is not only to preach, sing, or to be a prayer warrior. but to serve God is to be a servant of others. But our service has to be done with integrity and faithfullness. We have to serve Him in Spirit and truth without looking for anything else than to make His name known. Many so called "Servants of God" are looking for thier own profit and have differents ambitions. But we have to serve God as Paul did by not looking for our own profit but the profit of many that the may be saved (1 corinthians 10:33)

As we apply those points in our life we shall be like Him when He will appear. I am longing to hear Him saying to me "welcome home beloved son, you have done well" and we He dwells there shall we dwell by His grace.

God bless you!!!!
