The plan of God for our lives

Isaiah 61
1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” 4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins, They shall raise up the former desolations, And they shall repair the ruined cities, The desolations of many generations.

Many times we ask ourselves why things happen and why can God allow bad things or disasters to happen to us. We cry and mourn when things happen, and we ask ourselves if we are really sons and daughters of God. At times, when things are not going the way we want them to be, we questioned the veracity of the word of God and we wonder if really God is still faithful to His word.
The good news is that God is still faithful and He is still doing everything good. God never meant to hurt us; no. But His unfailing love and his amazing grace tell us that He has something better for us.
I actually like to call the scripture above (Isaiah 61:1-4) the mission of the Savior Jesus Christ. He came to give us liberty, to heal the brokenhearted, to comfort and console those who mourn, to give us a joyful heart, a garment of praise. God never planned to do evil to us; the wish of God is that we shall have double honor instead of shame and everlasting joy shall be ours.
But the problem we have is that we are so occupied by our worries that we forget the plans of God for our lives. If we could think a little bit about the goodness of God in our lives, we would thank Him in every situation. Take a time and think a little bit, you will see that God never stops to work; even in those situations that we think were worst. He promised that He will never forsake us, but He will be with us all the days of our lives. Let nothing stop us to see the manifestation of his plans. Do not let the devil stop you to praise your God.
As the Bible says in the book of Ephesians 4: 6-7: “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Stay blessed!!!
