Godly Sincerity Concerning God's Word

For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ.  (2Co_2:17) Godly sincerity concerning God's word is another characteristic that the Lord desires to mark us with by His grace. "For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God; but as of sincerity . . . we speak." The manner in which we relate to the word of God is a high priority to our Lord. In the early church, some were already relating wrongly to God's word. "For we are not, as so many, peddling the word of God." They were using the word of God for self-gain. The scriptures warn us about the temptation that people would face concerning inappropriate uses of the word. "There are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain" (Tit_1:1...

I will come forth as gold through my suffering

Job 23:10 But he knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold No one in this world wishes to suffer. suffering is considered a negative thing because it makes us to feel rejected, abandoned and bitterness fills our hearts as we suffer. But if we look deeper, we can see that suffering has a power to transform and bring brighter days in our lives. The Bible declares that "many are the afflictions of the righteous" (Psalms 34:19). Job was a God's fearing and righteous person. But despise all his holiness he had to go through suffering. But at times we wonder how does God permit suffering to come to someone who is living righteously within the will of God?  Well here is the answer: God did not create suffering. It originally entered the world through man’s sin (Genesis 3). But God can take that which is intended for evil and use it for good to accomplish His purposes.   Suffering is sometimes compared to a natural storm. When ...

our uniqueness in the corporate grace

1 Peter 4:10 ¨ There are divisions and separation in many ministries, not only because satan is attacking the believers, but also because we haven't yet learned how to use our uniqueness in the corporate grace. Understanding our uniqueness and identifying our gifts, grace,... will make us to work with the spirit of complementarity instead of competition; it will help us not to be imitators of others but authentic imitators and followers of Christ who understand that we are what we are and have what we have by the special Grace of God. So, let us use our uniqueness (gifts, special grace, calling,...) to minister it to one another (in the corporate grace= working together in the operational power of God to strengthen, encourage and build up one another up) as good stewards of the manifold grace of God;so that God, in all things and everywhere, may be glorified through Jesus Christ. Stay blessed! Fleury

Hold on, it is not over yet

As we are entering the last month of this year 2011 and as we are embrassing the new year 2012, I want to encourage everyone who thinks that what he/she hoped for during this year 2011 can't be accomplished anymore. And if you think that God has forgotten you because you have not yet recieved what you wanted,I have good news for you, it is not over yet. Isaiah 49:14-15 says:" But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me,And my Lord has forgotten me.” “ Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you." Maybe you have already lost your hope and faith, you feel abondonned and rejected by people and God. It is as if the doors of Heaven are closed for you or it seems as if God has forgotten about you; He hasn't. He has formed you in His own image and likeness and He said :”I will not forget you ”The Lord has not forgotten you. He is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we can a...

Stand upon the Rock

Exodus 33: 21 And the LORD said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: 22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by: 23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen. Like Moses, we want to see the glory of God manifested in our lives. God didn’t show his glory to Moses but He asked Moses to stand on a rock by the side of God. The rock is the image of Christ ( 1 corinthians 10:4 ). When we stand on the Rock, the glory of God will pass us by and the hand of God will cover us and protect us against every evil. When we stand and build our lives on the Rock, we will stand firm even in the time of troubles and storms ( Luke 6:48 ) When we stand on the Rock, streams of living water will flow from our bellies and the grace of God will be sufficient to us. David wrote in Psalm 62: “1 Truly my soul waiteth upo...

Choosing your life’s partner: a challenging but possible decision

Life is full of choices and decisions to take. Some decisions and choices are easy to take than others. For example, the choice of what clothes to wear is not as difficult or important as the choice of what program to study at the university or the choice of where to work. The decisions we make can dictate the steps we take in the future; steps to a glorious future with God, or steps to destructive future. The greatest and most challenging part in decision’s making lays in the hand of the one who decides. Some decisions need to be taken seriously. To choose a life’s partner (husband or wife) needs a lot of precautions, because as an old expression in my own language says: “He who misses a good wife (or partner) misses his riches” and the Bible says in Pro 18:22 “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD”. The Bible gives us some criteria that everyone who wants to have a life’s partner should think about. Genesis 24 talks about how Abrah...
