"Thus saith Benhadad"... or "Thus saith the LORD".... whose report to believe?
1Kings 20:1-13
In this scripture, we see the king of Israël who was first afraid because of the power and the words of the king Benhadad. This one was rulling over him and was deciding to do whatever pleased him. But the king of Israel was afraid because He didn't know who was with Him and he was intimidated by the words of Benhadad. In our lives, sometimes the Devil intimidates us in many ways. He makes us to think about our passed errors and He wants us to compromise with sins. When you know the power that works in you, you will not fear anyone except God,you shall not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flies by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday(Psalm 91.5-6)
The Devil wants you to loose your faith and to fall into temptations. All we need to do is to stand up and comfess with boldness and tell the Ennemy that: "I used to do all things you told me to do, but his things you ask me now I will not do. I have been redeemed by the precious blood of the Lamb of God and that blood is against you, satan"
No matter what may come on your way, you have to know the following things:
- Do not believe the report of the ennemy but believe the report of your God
- do not let the Ennemy intimidate you
- The passed errors are gone and behold everything has become new
- do not compromise with sin
- worship and praise the Lord your God because He who habits in the worship and praise of His people will fight for you.
The Bible says in Psalm 91: 14-16

And Benhadad the king of Syria gathered all his host together: and there were thirty and two kings with him, and horses, and chariots: and he went up and besieged Samaria, and warred against it. And he sent messengers to Ahab king of Israel into the city, and said unto him, Thus saith Benhadad, Thy silver and thy gold is mine; thy wives also and thy children, even the goodliest, are mine. And the king of Israel answered and said, My lord, O king, according to thy saying, I am thine, and all that I have. And the messengers came again, and said, Thus speaketh Benhadad, saying, Although I have sent unto thee, saying, Thou shalt deliver me thy silver, and thy gold, and thy wives, and thy children; Yet I will send my servants unto thee to morrow about this time, and they shall search thine house, and the houses of thy servants; and it shall be, that whatsoever is pleasant in thine eyes, they shall put it in their hand, and take it away. Then the king of Israel called all the elders of the land, and said, Mark, I pray you, and see how this man seeketh mischief: for he sent unto me for my wives, and for my children, and for my silver, and for my gold; and I denied him not. And all the elders and all the people said unto him, Hearken not unto him, nor consent. Wherefore he said unto the messengers of Benhadad, Tell my lord the king, All that thou didst send for to thy servant at the first I will do: but this thing I may not do. And the messengers departed, and brought him word again. And Benhadad sent unto him, and said, The gods do so unto me, and more also, if the dust of Samaria shall suffice for handfuls for all the people that follow me. And the king of Israel answered and said, Tell him, Let not him that girdeth on his harness boast himself as he that putteth it off. And it came to pass, when Benhadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set yourselves in array. And they set themselves in array against the city. And, behold, there came a prophet unto Ahab king of Israel, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Hast thou seen all this great multitude? behold, I will deliver it into thine hand this day; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

14 “Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him on high, because he has known My name.
15 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble;
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.”
